One of the things that I have tried to do over the years is to improve the quality of my sleep,

because as a working fishing guide, you don't get a lot of sleep.

So if you don't have a lot of duration of sleep, you can have better quality of sleep and you can

be ready for the next day and you can perform well on the water and you can make it through the

day and still have stuff left for your family when you get home. That's the idea. I've read a

bunch of different books on sleep, including Dr. Matthew Walker's, Why We Sleep,

another book called Lights Out, a few others.

You listen to a whole bunch of podcasts and whether it's improving the sleep environment,

improving your environment by making it darker and darker, maybe even wearing ear plugs or anything that can help

with the quality of sleep. I pretty much tried it. And I can tell you that as the quality of sleep

improves, the performance the next day improves. That's my experience anyway. So as I see little benefits, it's like, well, what if I could sleep a little bit better?
