overcome anxiety and worry and you know I didn't know much about Reed if I'm

honest he's quite well known but some reason I come across his stuff. I've seen his books but I've never taken the time to read or find out more about him but since checking out this book and interviewing him for literally like 50 minutes he just blew my mind

figuratively obviously and it was just remarkable what he had to say He came with a new perspective on dealing with

obsessions, one that I'd never really heard of before and it really got me

thinking about my own recovery and you know how to help you guys and

there's a quote in his book here which he said to get stronger you've got to do

stuff you don't think you can do and you got to do that stuff

why you simultaneously doubt you can do it and I think that's great because often you

think sometimes it's really bad you think you're not going to be able to recover, it's not possible,

and it's about doing the things anyway, even when you doubt you can do it.

Almost having faith in the process, faith in the therapy, whatever technique that is and faith in your

therapist and yourself even if you don't think it's possible.

You know, let your actions prove your doubt wrong. And I think that's important. And so basically

we talk about act in it, we talk about ERP, he does some exposure stuff, he does a little

bit of act, except for the commitment commitment therapy but his way is slightly different so

ERP obviously focuses on you know resisting the compulsions and then living with the anxiety and
