I don't love the spotlight.

I'm here because people told me it'd be good for CZI.

No, I've ever been that candid to be in an interview.

Dr. Priscilla Chan, you may not know her name, but we think you should.

At just 33 years old, she's leading what may just turn out

to be the biggest change agent in Silicon Valley, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. CZI's goals

are anything but modest, advancing human potential and promoting equal opportunity, while curing,

preventing or managing all disease by the end of the century.

We are about building an aspirational future that everyone's excited about.

Everyone ranging from the most fortunate kid to the kids that I try to serve and continue to try to serve and the clinic are at the school.

We want that to be a future that is incredible.

So we're building that.

But we have to be cognizant about how we make sure that the opportunity to access that is equal.

Chan is the wife of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, but her profile is rising

and not because of whom she's married to. And the fact that she's sitting here today, a Palo Alto

valedictorian, pediatrician, entrepreneur, billionaire, and mother of two is in her words a miracle.

She was born to refugee parents in low-income housing in Quincy, Massachusetts.

She landed at Harvard on a full scholarship.

And the rest, as they say, is history.
