Hello, friends. This is Father Patrick Briscoe. Thank you for joining us for this episode of

0:10.0

Godsplining. I have as my guest today, the one and only Dr. Peter Craft, a professor of

0:15.9

philosophy for many years at Boston College, a noted author, maybe you like me, have read one of Dr. Kraef's

0:22.6

books. There are many such books that could be options to pull from. And I'm so excited to have

0:27.4

the good professor with us today to talk about his latest works from Calvinism to Catholicism

0:32.6

and the mystery of joy. Dr. Krafe, thanks for jumping onto Godsplining. You're welcome. Thank you for having me.

0:40.9

and a waste of time, like diaries.

1:18.7

And he reminded me that C.S. Lewis wrote one, surprised by joy.

1:22.5

So I said, well, if he did, I guess I should too.

1:26.3

And Lewis explains at the beginning of that book that that's not basically an

1:32.3

an autobiography of Lewis, but of joy.

1:35.1

So my autobiography, from Calvinist to Catholic, is basically an autobiography of my conversion

1:42.9

rather than me.

1:46.9

You don't learn that much about my personal proclivities or my family or my later life. It's a conversion story, but there's a lot of

1:53.3

me in it. And one that I think is so useful today. I wonder if in your years of teaching,

2:02.3

if you would see the same, if you would see the same,
