He is a professor of petristics in the Great Texts program at Baylor University.

He's a Catholic theologian, a mixologist, and the author or editor of over a dozen books

and around 500 articles on topics including sacred liturgy, St. Augustine of Hippo, and contemporary

film and culture. He's the author of the new book, Dining with the Saints, The Sinners Guide

to a Righteous Feast, which will be out on February 28th.

Just the bio there, going from theologian to mixologist to prolific author is incredible.

Could you walk listeners a little bit through your background before we get started here?

So I am a theologian. I teach at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

And I love teaching the great books. I'm in the Great Texts program.

But I also have other interests as well.

My wife and I have six kids and she homeschools mostly.

And as a result of that, we also like to drink.

And so...
