Now in this episode I interviewed Dr. Lisa Coyne.

Lisa works at the Child and Adolescent O.

O. C.D. Institute at McLean Hospital

and is also founder of the New England Center for

O C.D. and anxiety and I wanted to get it on because A, I heard a talk in 2017 on

Act and ERP and I found it really fascinating.

But also I wanted to get her on because she specializes in children and adolescents.

So I wanted to cover more of that on the podcast.

And the interview didn't disappoint. Lisa goes into her

therapy story, what is acceptance commitment therapy. She also gives client

examples or case examples of how she actually applies act to treating

I C. D. in children and adolescents, whether you're a parent or a child or

teenager, if you're just someone, an adult with A. C. D, then I think you'll still find this interesting.

But she goes into detail in, yeah, specifically Act, but then also how Act superchargers can

supercharge, exposure supercharge exposure response

prevention therapy so I found that very interesting.

We also talk about inpatient treatment for children because I wanted to do some

destigmatizing around that in case there is any and how all parents can be more treatment

supporting and we know it's a tough job supporting anyone going through anything but yeah see your child suffering can be very tough so I wanted to ask Lisa's advice on that to help any parents listening

And yeah, there's so much more that's covered in this. I think this is going to appeal to everyone, but also specifically any children and adolescents or parents or caregivers.
