Okay guys. Very serious and outraging issue happening right now. The abundant birth

project is the San Francisco program designed to counter obstetric racism that researchers say leads to disproportionate numbers of

African-American mothers to die from childbirth. We've talked about this

here on higher learning, black maternal mortality, and the issues

surrounding black pregnant people,

both postpartum and while they are going

through their labor.

This project seems to be a God's end to me, to's provided over 150 pregnant and Black Pacific Islanders in San Francisco,

$1,000 a month so that they can live and get the care that they need, but is now clouded by a lawsuit alleging

that the program, the first of its kind of the nation, illegally discriminates by giving

the stipend only to people of a specific race.

It also targets the San Francisco Guaranteed Income Program

serving artists, transgender people, and black young adults.
