Peterson. He was an up-and-coming guy and he was willing to talk to anyone.

So lucky us. We were able to interview him for hoax. It was a great conversation and people who know his work have all said this is actually the best interview of him and I can tell you it was because I'd actually read the book.

So we go deep into a lot of postmodernism we talk about new

media old media the nature of truth in a way that I bet you've never heard done

before now a quick note because this was recorded using two separate

mics my mic isn't heard so there may be a quick pause because he's repeating

the question asked of him.

So I'll just give you a brief, 30 seconds into documentary filmmaking.

If you interview someone for a documentary film,

you're not going to be heard on Mike usually,

so you'll have the person repeat the question so for example you'll hear him say you asked me why does truth matter that's because you want that for the footage of your documentary film because you want it to be

about the guest and not about the person asking the question or at least that's what

I was going for with Helks. So there will be a little bit of uneven sound here or there. There may be a pause here

or there that isn't your imagination. It's not your sound system. It's just the
