Who doesn't want more peace?

I know I know I do.

And with that piece is the accompanying confidence and security and strength to deal with all the stuff with our families,

with the crazy world that we live in, and to be right with God.

So why is peace so elusive for most people?

Well, I think one of the challenges that we have is, at least for me, I've always felt like peace can only be possible in the midst of everything being rightly ordered.

You know what I'm saying? Like our families are doing well. Our society seems to be doing well, which we all know that our society never seems to be doing well.

So that's a roadblock already. But it seems like we get these glimpses of peace

when things are rightly ordered. And so the question for me has always been like,

is it actually possible to experience a type of peace that isn't conditioned upon all the things

being right, but a type of peace that can be established and cultivated and experienced

even in the midst of the hard and the hurtful. And I'm a kind of Bible nerd, theology nerd.
