Summary

My guest today is author and historian Dr Joanne Paul. She is an award-winning historian and Senior Lecturer in Early Modern History at the University of Sussex, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Today, Joanne and I will discuss Sir Thomas More. I’m Rebecca Larson, host of the Tudors Dynasty Podcast and owner of TudorsDynasty.com. Telling the stories of those who lived centuries before us is what I enjoy doing most. Whether it be a show on one subject or an interview with an author/historian, I’ll bring you the tales of 16th century England. Before I get started today, I need to take a minute to thank the folks who became new patrons since the last episode: Rebecca D, Kimberly F, Sandra Jean, Jill T, Grace, Sharon M, Barbara B, Mindy R, Jennifer C and Vivianne A - thank you so much for your support - your support and the support of all my patrons who have meant the world to me. A full list of patrons can be found at tudorsdynastypodcast.com Thomas More, according to Erasmus, was A Man for All Seasons. In this episode you’ll learn about his upbringing, his education, his wives and their children, as well as what happened to his head after his execution….so let’s get to it….
