Did you know that depression is the leading cause of disability in the world? Clinical depression affects some 16 million adults in the United States, and a growing number of children and teenagers.
If you, or someone you care about, suffers from depression, you know it can be hard to treat. That’s why there’s been a lot of excitement about the promise shown by the drug Ketamine in treating depression. Joining us on this episode is Dr. Gerard Sanacora, who is an internationally recognized expert in the use of Ketamine in psychiatry. He is a professor of psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine and the director of the Yale Depression Research Program.
