0:16.5	lives in the US. That's up from around 600 this time.

0:24.0	It's just 4 PM East Coast time.
0:25.0	We've already seen 658 deaths just today,
0:29.0	more than any other day so far.
0:32.0	Globally, the death toll is nearly 42,000. More than 800,000 have
0:36.4	been confirmed infected worldwide and of course the actual number is much higher.
0:40.6	And while experts hope this constant exponential growth of death and
0:44.8	illness will ultimately slow, the peak in the US still is likely weeks if not months
0:50.9	away. And the nation's top infectious disease expert Dr Anthony
0:54.0	Fauchy is now warning that there could be a resurgence of the coronavirus later
0:58.7	this year, a second coronavirus wave in the fall.
