0:09.0	At this hour, the death toll from coronavirus stands at more than 47,000 in the United States
0:15.6	nearing that horrific 50,000 mark. This time last month the death toll was 500.
0:20.9	So much loss so quickly and sadly expected to grow. Of course along with all this loss and almost
0:28.0	850,000 total cases and let's remember even many who survive this will endure agony and health issues.
0:34.4	There is also deep economic pain caused by this pandemic shutdown and figuring out the balance
0:39.2	between lives and livelihoods is immensely challenging for every political leader.
0:45.2	Tomorrow, the state of Georgia will join South Carolina in reopening some businesses
0:49.5	considered non-essential as other states across the nation plan to try to do the same
0:54.2	soon even as the influential model often cited by the White House says that no
0:59.2	states should consider those moves until at least May 4th,
1:03.1	May 4th for five states, even later for most others.
1:06.7	In the last hour, the nation's top infectious disease
1:09.3	expert, Dr Anthony Fauchy warned that the US
1:11.9	is not where it needs to be on testing.
1:14.6	I am not overly confident right now at all that we have what it takes to do that. We're getting better and better at it as the weeks go by, but we are not in a
1:28.0	situation where we say we're exactly where we want to be with regard to
1:32.0	testing.
1:35.0	Fauchy's opinion shared by the National Governors Association,
