You know, your combination of expertise is really interesting to me. How did you get interested in existentialism?

We'll start with existentialism, then we'll move on to phenomenology. How did that become interesting to you to a point where you decide to make it a life focus?

Yeah, I've always been obsessed by the nature of selfhood, who am I? And so I think I came to these areas of philosophy through that, trying to figure out what is the self, if there is such a thing at all, and how does it relate to others?
