One of the things I've learned in my long career, Dr. Drew, is when you talk to someone who knows what they're talking about to shut up and let them speak as much as possible, to remind people you are a real doctor, not just a Jill Biden doctor. And I'm gonna have a broad question because I really wanna hear you just talk on. then you're gonna shut up because you don't have much to say after that it's just gonna be all me.

ruining a lot recently.

And this is going to be a lot of expertise about.

So that's why I want to pick your brain. So when Ein Rand was starting her career, she was much more focused on politics.

And then later she started turning, well, if I want to understand politics,

I need to understand ethics, what's right and wrong, we'll be making those choices.

And then she towards the end started folks on epistemology, how people know what they know. And in recent months or years, I've been of the mindset, it's becoming increasingly obvious, that human beings are very bad at cognition. We're taught in school, you know, everyone learns the same thing at the same rate, which if you sat down to design a system of scratch, it makes absolutely no sense. If you're better at taking a part in engine, I'm better at math, why are we learning both things at the same rate? And it creates this idea of universalism that human brains are all basically the same. And as you get older, if you're noticing, right, You see that's not the case at all, that a lot of times I'll give a very example that's going to trigger half the audience. There are people who will tell you with a straight face right now that Trump was praising white nationalists at Charlottesville because he did literally use the phrase, they're very fine people on both sides. And the next words out of his mouth were, and I don't mean the white nationals who must be condemned.

Totally, he said, regarding the statute of bait,

there's good people taking down statues, find people on keeping the statues up. And you can show them the tape and they won't perceive it, right? Hillary with Benghazi, she says, what difference at this point does it make? People are dead. meaning we can sit here to a blue in the face
