I started reflecting upon my history here at your mom's house. And I started thinking, wow, what an extraordinary journey this has been.

1:04.0

I was asked, well, the way it really started was my wife and I were watching Christina's comedy special. Do you know this history is all of?

1:12.0

Yeah, yeah, and by the way, it's just Zolo and I did well and some of the boys in the booth, but, but any end of the day out. So Zolo very kindly helped me craft this this very special episode. I don't know if I can do what it is in just a minute.

1:25.0

But I it started with me watching mother, what was what was Christine mother and fear other inferior. And I said, that's an interesting woman. She is very smart. And my wife said, I'm going to get her for a podcast.

1:37.0

And she did and turned out she was a big celebrity rehab fan. And so we and I was doing a podcast that time with Bob forest, who was the guy with the hat and the glasses from celebrity rehab. And she came on and we struck it off. And I didn't think anything really more of it. And then Tom came on after that. And we did another interesting podcast.

1:54.0

And then they asked me to come on your mom's house and I was aware of your mom's house. I was not fully indoctrinated would probably be close to the right word. I've had been fully exposed to the to what your mom's house is really all about.

2:10.0

So I came in naively and that was back when Tom Christina were doing out of there. Was that a garage or something or guest house right didn't know what was going on and they had babies at the time there were babies running around the house. How long ago was it like four years, three, four years ago.

2:27.0

And I really didn't think and I had a great time and I enjoyed spending time with them, but I didn't think much of it until I was at a I was at a MTV video movie awards.

2:44.0

And some woman ran up to me like, oh, I got I loved you on your mom's house. And I thought, huh, that's interesting. I haven't had that reaction about something a long time. I wonder if that means something I like.

2:58.0

And then that started happening that people were sort of reacting to me being on your mom's house. And I and it kind of I don't know what chord I had struck because I didn't really fully understand the your mom's house world. Certainly not the way I do now.

3:14.0

But it was intriguing to me and then Tom called me and or actually I think called my wife and said, let's have dinner and talk about doing some sort of show. And I thought, well, that makes sense because it seems like that world welcome me in very kindly.

3:29.0

And we weren't really sure what we were going to actually the original idea was Christina's that she was so interested in comedians brains, which are all kind of the same that you and we kind of pick some comedians brain if you remember in the beginning of the show, we I'd have a comedian guest in here every time.

3:46.0

And then we sort of morphed into me and Christina talking about stuff and and now we're still sort of in that that zone. But it occurred to me that wouldn't it be interesting to go back over my history with your mom's house and look back through the retrospectoscope through the looking glass of what maybe that is this the first appearance, although just that I think I did two appearances maybe I can't really remember.

4:12.0

Did like five appearances, no, no, no, but I mean the original the early one. Yeah, you were at their house twice twice. That's what I thought. Yeah, that was their twice. And and I don't really know the difference between those two appearances, though, I think the second one hit a little harder in terms of people's sensibilities around your mom's house. I don't know how to use language.

4:37.0

But but it's extraordinary. It's been a great experience and I'm deeply deeply as you know, I express many times privilege and grateful to be a part of this community. But the but that feeling caused me to think, huh, I wonder how I saw things back then when I was exposed to some of these videos that we again using language carefully analyze.

4:58.0

What my reactions back in those days and wouldn't it be interesting if we looked at those videos again some of the classics, I mean, even just look, I don't see it up there. I don't even think you have a home or you do home here now. Right now right now.
