I think that they were particular by elections, weren't they?

Because they were both caused by the removal from the body politic of two of the,

well, I didn't know much about Chris Ph Philp until I found out that he had been

regularly accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour.

Something, of course, that Boris Johnson knew all about when he decided to appoint him

Deputy Chief Whipp and then lied about when allegations emerged or when more allegations

emerged.

And that, in the great scheme of things,

it is easy to forget that that is actually,

or that was actually, the straw that broke the camel's back.

Boris Johnson should have, of course, been hounded out of that.

Well, it should never have got into Downing Street in the first place, but the curious conspiracy of Brexit lies, client journalism, and what else would you call it?
