Years ago, a counselor friend shared something with me that I've not forgotten.

She said, Susie, my colleagues and I are seeing so many clients who come to us as a last resort.

They have all kinds of physical symptoms, but doctors can't find anything wrong with them.

Yet their symptoms are real.

But when we lead them to Jesus and they encounter his love and his heart for them,

and they learn to tell themselves a more redemptive story,

most of their symptoms, if not all of their symptoms over and over again, just fade away.

That's kind of amazing.

You know, whether we like it or not, how we think about our lives, the story we repeatedly

tell ourselves impacts the quality of our lives.

And you, if you listen often enough, you know this is a passion for us.
