About a month ago, I interviewed Dr. Cassandra Henriquez.

She goes by the name Coach Cass for my Instagram live show.

And we had a great time talking about her children's book, which is called Princess Zara's

birthday tradition.

My daughter, who's on a 7, is a particularly big fan of Princess

Zara, and we just got along great and had a really nice conversation. And I then was able to

include Princess Zara's birthday tradition in an article I wrote for the Washington Post,

where I did a roundup of some really great children's books that have come out recently.

Now I'm interviewing Coach Cass again, and I'm really happy that she

said yes. I reached out to her in the midst of this Black Lives Matter blackout Tuesday period

of time, and I wanted to see if she would be open to just having a really warm, open dialogue about

what's going on, what she thinks everyone can do to help, and what her point

of view was on the whole situation. And I just wanted to listen. I know that is the mandate

of this week, and I am firmly in support of all of it, and am standing by everyone to support

the valiant, important mission of the Black Lives Matter movement.

And I think it's really important to amplify black voices right now.

And I wanted to start by doing this conversation and just letting Coach Cass have a platform to talk about how she feels.

And as you'll hear, it was really emotional and open.

And I think really important. And she gave some really great, specific, actionable tips for the rest of us.
