Okay, Dr. Carrie, I'm excited to have you on. Um, this is a topic that I know a lot of my listeners are very curious about especially I mean because everyone's basically a runner that listens to this podcast. So

Foremones and running I feel like I don't know. It's a topic that needs to be talked about more. So I'm excited to have you on.

I am excited to be on because you know when you're dealing with hormones, it's kind of like hurting cats. People know their hormonal they're like I feel hormonal I think it's my hormones, but they don't actually know what that means and or what to do about it. So I'm happy to talk about it.

Yeah, do you want to just start off the podcast like giving a little intro of who you are and I guess your qualifications and everything?

Yes, my name is Carrie Jones. I am a doctor in Portland, Oregon. I have my masters in public health and I have been in hormones my entire career. I had a great mentor in medical school who is very much into women's health predominantly and then I did my residency with a huge focus in women's health and hormones and my practice was in women's health and hormones.

I worked for a specialty lab, like a functional medicine lab. Their whole focus was hormones and along the way I would pick up some male patients because I, you know, women often have met in their life and are like, oh, he's hormonal you have to help him to.
