In fact, you hear this from me every day, and it is true.

I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk,

that deepen your understanding of God's

word, and that heighten your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, you no doubt have

heard me say this before, but it bears repeating today. Years ago, I had licensed counselor and author

Stephen Ardenberg on the show, and he said something I will never forget. He said, Susie,

one of the great epidemics of the church today is

unresolved grief. He says, we've all experienced a series of losses, hurts, and disappointments,

and we've not slowed down long enough to grieve them and sort through them. And you know,

the Bible says we do not grieve in the same way as those without hope. But the truth is we still have

to grieve. My guest today says we don't just get over it. We've got to get through it. And I would

even add that unresolved grief sits like a soul infection within us. And God wants to invite us. He

invites us to sort through it with him. My guest today is Dr. Carol Peters Tanksley, who will not only

address this as a medical doctor and a theologian, but as a wife who lost her husband. And she wrote
