Hey everybody, welcome to the call to mastery. I'm Jordan Rayner. This is a

podcast for Christians who want to do their most exceptional work for the glory of

God and the good of others. Each week I host a conversation

with the Christian who's pursuing world-class mastery of their vocation. We talk

about their path to mastery, their daily habits. their You guys have told me time and time again that some of your favorite episodes are with guests

Today's guest, my friend Dr Anthony Jones is one of those people.

He's a middle school principal at Sly Middle School

here in Tampa, Florida.

He's an exceptional leader, an educator.

Had a really nice job, really cushy job

as a principal at another middle school in town,

and largely because of his faith, because of his understanding the gospel,

he decided to transition to lead one of the roughest schools in Tampa Bay and through God

working through Anthony the school has seen remarkable results. So Dr. Jones, as I'm now calling him,

we recently sat down, we talked about how his family talks about work

around the dinner table to instill a love of work and vocation in their kids,

how appreciative inquiry can be used to develop teams.
