about the urgency of combating zeka. The key thing that's needed is money, but

congressional fighting over funding has forced the Health Secretary to do something quite stunning.

She had to take money using her transfer authority from cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and

mental health.

Actually, it's even worse than that. Also, Fauchy is renowned for his life-saving

research on HIV AIDS, so you'll want to hear what he thinks about the possibility of an AIDS

free generation and the role Prep plays in it.

So, Zika, can you give a download on what is this disease and why does it seem like it came

from out of nowhere and seemingly like the last two weeks? Well it didn't come

out of no... Well it didn't come out of... Relatively speaking.

Well, it didn't come out of nowhere because we've known about Zika as a virus since

1947 when it was discovered in the Zika Forest of Uganda.

The issue with Zika is that the first cases in humans weren't realized

until 1952 in Nigeria and then it kind of went under the radar screen for decades.

But the perfect storm for Zika came in 2015 when it reached Brazil.

And the reason I say the perfect storm, because Brazil is a very large country with a lot of people, a diverse population, some considerable pockets of poverty, and copious mosquitoes that are capable of transmitting in a population that prior to 2015

had absolutely no experience at all with Zika namely they had an entirely
