life. Well, a number of years ago, I had Bart Miller of Mercy Me, whose voice you hear at the

open of the show every day on the show. I've had him on a few times, but we talked about his album,

Welcome to the New. And I'd had him on before, but I'd sensed this particular time a new

freedom and a lightness in his voice. I could hear his smile.

You know, and so many of the songs on that album spoke of grace in the most beautiful way. So I just

asked him about it. And he shared how he was on the verge of burnout. And I really sensed kind of

by reading between the lines that he was tired of the nitpickers picking him apart, which,

you know, some are known to do in the Christian space. And so when I

asked him about the change, I could literally just hear him smiling. And he talked about his friend,

Dr. Andrew Farley, who helped him understand grace in a way that changed him forever. And I started to think,

what if Bart would have gotten so tired of the snobs and the bullies that he just quit ministry because

some have walked away because they just got tired of it instead he engaged with more passion and more

joy and more grace than ever before and I for one am so grateful well Dr. Andrew Farley joins me

today to talk about his book the grace message is the gospel really this good we're going to talk
