in therapies such as ERP or CBT and I think that's great because sometimes, you know, especially clinicians and psychologists, they study hard, they're academic, they're very intelligent people usually, and they learn all these big terms and you know and

talking about these terms cognitive dissonance diffusion all this stuff psychological flexibility

and you mention it to a client

someone who's there for therapy and it might just go over their head because that's

not their schooling they've never read anything about it so why would they get it and I like the way

Alan uses stories to make it like these big concepts make them completely

relatable and understandable to the client.

And I think that's a very powerful thing.

And storytelling is something I believe in clearly

because of the name of this podcast and site, the OCD C. D. stories.
