Okay, we are alive. Hi, this is William Ramsey. Welcome to the D-Hipno program. This will be episode 8. I've titled this one, Dr. Allen W. Shefflin, the mind controllers, and Charles Manson. The reason for the titles I'm going to read from Alan W. Shefflin's book, The Mind Controllers, and the intro, and then a section that he had on Charles Manson.

Fortunately, Mr. or Dr. Shephlin passed away last year, 2023.

And there's a very pleasant, a wonderful memorialization of his life by Stephen Hassan on Stephen Hassan's website,

Freedom of Mind.com.

So I'll put a link to that.

I'm going to read from that on the intro.

And then a little bit about Alan,

his CV, he used to work at Santa Clara as a law professor.

And also, like I said,

a little piece of mind controllers published in 1978 still

important it's very uh weighty tome I should say 500 pages different subjects but I'll get to

that but he passed away at age 81 2023 so this is Steve Hassan.

It is with great sadness that I bid farewell to my dear friend, colleague and mentor, Alan Shefflin, who passed away last week at the age of 81.

Alan was a law professor emeritus at Santa Clara University.

As a forensic expert, he had a master's in psychology and counseling and was a world

authority on hypnosis.

He had been president of the International Cultic Studies Association and later on

was on the board of directors.

I first connected with him in 1978 when I read his book, The Mind Manipulators, came out.

He lived in San Francisco and taught at Santa Clara Law School at the time.

I wrote to him and we

became friends. Alan was a deeply analytical person, a progressive who wanted to help people.
