He got the commissioner of the NBA.

It took Fritzy four years to get Adam Silver on the show. And it was worth

the wait. It was. You did a great job. But I was curious, why now for the commissioner? I've known

him a long time. And I've always thought that he was a good guess when he came on. And of course,

his predecessor, I've a long history with David Stern.

But Pauley goes, I don't know. There must be something going on. And I go, all right. Well, save it for the air. All right, Pauley. So why do you think the commissioner of the NBA came on? I'll preface is by saying he hasn't been on at least four years. He comes on today out of nowhere. earlier this week, the commissioner mentions during his kind of state of the union pre-playoff stuff that he has to do something, work on something to deal with this load management

issue players not playing games.

Coincidentally, three days later, he decides to join our show.

A guy, an interviewer who he knows, knows the NBA, is somewhat old school with his thoughts on the NBA, and will ask the questions that will set up the commissioner to mention the things that he was here to mention. He had notes on his desk. He was ready to go. And when you brought up the topic, you didn't actually, you didn't even bring up the topic. You start talking about Michael Jordan in the 80s in Chicago. And he goes, Michael Jordan, What player he was. He was a kind of guy playing 40 minutes a game. That was we didn't promote that. We didn't, you know, prompt him to say that. And then when you went into some ideas about how to fix the load management situation, he went right with you. I think that was a completely planned trial balloon type interview by the commissioner,

and it worked perfectly. Well, I don't want to take away from Fritzie's great work.

Well, Fritzy never gives up, which helps.
