The number of dead has been steadily climbing all day from Greece's deadliest ship break

this year.

As we recall this podcast, at least 78 people are known to have drowned after their overloaded

boat capsized off the coast of Greece.

The vessel packed with migrants was reportedly bound for Italy.

Coast guards did manage to rescue more than a hundred of those on board, but many more

are still missing.

As the search operation continues.

Poignantly, it seems that some of those on the ship refused an earlier offer of help

from the coast guard.

Italy.
