The lead story in the city once again, and this seems to happen almost any time there is some sort of marquee event or high traffic event in the greater downtown area in which we cannot make it out of that event or that new cycle without large-scale violence in the city of Indianapolis, the downtown area.

And once again, it happens this time on the 4th of July, shortly after people are

law-abiding citizens, people bringing their families downtown, celebrating the 4th of July,

the nation's independence.

And here we go, mass shooting, two dead,

several injured. Yeah, I think we need to be honest with ourselves and stop comparing ourselves

to Chicago because Indianapolis is not all that great. I mean, when you wake up and it's like,

is this Fallujah or is this downtown Indianapolis? And it's every single weekend, and we're

talking about kids that are involved in

this stuff. Okay. So Ryan Hedrick from the WIBC Newsroom, who covered this stuff throughout

the weekend, Jared Lewis as well, and Jonette was in on it too. So the WIBC Newsroom was

working hard over the weekend. He posted this, what would this? This would have been, let's see,

this would have been Sunday morning.

Within 27 hours, there were 15 people shot.

So basically, late Friday to early Sunday morning.

So a 27 hour period, you had 15 people shot.
