This is going to be a different kind of podcast today.

We have some local and regional things going on that seem really important that

I've kind of skimmed the surface on. I've not done deep dives and called around and talked to people

and tried to figure out exactly where we want to stand on these things. But clearly they're being

discussed. Politicians are on board. Power brokers in business and community around Kansas

City in the Midwest are lining up to do some really big things it appears in Kansas City.

And this is the important stage. Well, this is all down the road where we should be taking a look

at this and saying, is this good for our lifestyle, good for our community, good for what we are in the Midwest, what we're

about, what our values are, what we believe in, whether it's job creation, building a better

city, keeping our roots as Midwesterners and conservatives, which is clearly what this region is, there's some really

important issues that are starting to percolate a little bit below the surface that will

become very big stories over the next probably two to five years. And we start with the

announcement on Tuesday in Kansas City by a group called the

Downtown Council, which has always had, when you have a name that is as generic as that,

you've, you always believe there's somebody pretty liberal behind it because they're,

they're so good at naming things that just can't be argued.
