If I was to ask you what the most efficient mode of transport is, you might say cars.

After all, they're very efficient. You might say planes. They're very fast. But actually, the answer is trains.

Not a particularly new mode of transport, but used on a regular basis by hundreds of millions

of people around the world.

They've been around in this country since the early 19th century.

Today's guest is an authority on all things trains related.

They're an engineer, they have a podcast, they are very much

askonsed within the industry. I plan to ask everything from Hyperloop to whether or not

we need HS2 to why do we keep on getting signal failures every time I'm coming into London.
