Summary

Peter Hitchens is something of an iconoclast. Among his colleagues on the right, the Mail on Sunday columnist stands out as a heterodox thinker – yet he’s perhaps one of the few who could be described as a genuine conservative. My view is that if you want your ideas, your policies, your world view to be as robust

0:12.8

as possible, the best thing you can do is talk to and have conversations with people that

0:17.8

you fundamentally disagree with.

0:21.0

Now in Britain there's one problem with that for people on the left, and that is conservatives

0:25.9

1:29.0

welcome to Navarra Media. It's a pleasure so far.

1:31.9

How are you doing? How do we find you in this rather grim January afternoon?

1:36.7

So far so good. I'm living an extra time anyway, so I take every day as a joy.

1:41.2

That's a good attitude. I'm going to start with a bit of a, I suppose, an esoteric

1:45.9

question. You are something of a sort of go-to voice, it seems, for people like Owen Jones,

1:52.6

we have you here on Navarra Media, we're quite interested in what you have to say, as a
