The cut down deadline just came and went moments ago shortly after 4 p.m. Eastern as I am beginning to record today's podcast on this

Tuesday, August 29th. Washington down to its 53. More roster maneuvering, of course, will happen

in the days ahead. But they cut down from 90 to 53 today. Some players ended up on injured reserve.

Ben Standing will join me in the next segment,

and we will go through all of the cuts and injured reserve moves in detail.

All NFL teams had to be down to 53. There were some trades today. We'll get into

some of those later on in the show. Jonathan Taylor was not traded by the Colts. So nobody came

up with whatever the Colts were looking for. He starts the season on the Pupplest. So the first

four games with Anthony Richardson in

Indianapolis will be played without Jonathan Taylor at running back. Today kind of marks the

end of summer football. No more training camp. The preseason games are over. No more cut down dates in the offing.

The next event on the rundown is the opener on September 10th. I cannot wait for real football.
