obstetric's darkest shadows. As I was thinking about talking with you this week I was thinking like okay for someone

who's never heard you talk and for someone who doesn't you know for someone who is not already

familiar with the work that you do and the voice that you stand for and who's

never even considered that the medical model might need a

reorganization. What would you say on kind of pulling back on a more like macro level what would you say to

somebody who doesn't know anything about this stuff what is wrong with

obstetrics and what is what is where's the error where's the imbalance in birth culture today.

I'd say you think you're in charge of your birth but you're not. What you're looking for when you are shopping for providers and hospitals is who is going

to allow me to have the most control over what's happening because the default is you not having the

control does that make sense so you're saying that they should look for who's

going to allow me to have the most control?
