and bring that to you each and every Saturday night. Today, we're going back to December 10th,

2021, in a conversation we had with NFL head coach Doug Peterson, who of course won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles,

and now is the head coach, as we record this, with the Jacksonville Jaguars. And Doug Peterson was a part

of a show we did called the Weekly Slant back in 2021, which also aired on the Sports Spectrum podcast. Jade McCarthy hosted that show.

And we talked to Doug about being patient with God's plan and the importance of giving back and

serving those in need. It's a great conversation. I want to play a portion of that here for you

on the Sports Spectrum minute. Take a listen.

How much did you incorporate faith into that team and how did you see it just sort of put

out there among the players who are open to it? You know, it's something that's amazing to me

is during my quiet times in the

morning, I get one first thing I did when I got to the office, um, was, was do my quiet time and

dive into my, my devotion and dive into my study. And, um, I really, I really felt like that led me

and prepared me to lead my football team.

Even though there's a fine line, right, between really kind of crossing that line with your football team.

They knew I was a man of faith and they knew I believed and had a relationship with Jesus Christ.

And I made that, I made that known to them.

But at the same time, I wanted to make sure that they understood that I wasn't pushing

that on anybody, right, with so many, so many people in the room.

But that whole season, God had his hand on that, on that group of men that year because

it was, you know, we played the Carolina Panthers on a Thursday night, and they were

baptizing guys in the swimming pool the night before. Wow. And, and, you know, it was a strong
