joked in episode one that as the thing went on and on there was one then two maybe

It's been, you know, since then it's been a, it's been kind of a fun yet sad week after Tim's podcast and Ride the Rockies, I spent a couple more days in Aspen and then, and I touched on this last week, we had this incident, this tragedy really in Kalamazoo Michigan where a group of cyclists were hit

and unfortunately five lost their lives so I talked to the to the leader of

the president I guess it's called of the club in Kalamazoo called

the Chain Gang Club.

The guy by the name of Steve Johnson and for all you cycling fans it's not that

Steve Johnson. It's just a total coincidence that he's a

cyclist and his name is Steve Johnson, who was, for those of you who don't

know cycling, Steve Johnson was the former president CEO of USA Cycling, the Federation.

And Chain Gang Steve and I came up with this idea that we would not let this tragedy break tradition.

I mean it was tradition for the chain gang to ride

every week they went out probably multiple times a week but they certainly had a

ritual of a Tuesday night ride and they had four or five loops that they would do at any given time.

This particular loop was around 28 miles.

And so I said to Steve, if you guys are going to ride this next Tuesday, then I'd be happy to be there and I'd be honored to be there.

And so I flew out, it was a little complicated to get there. I got to Chicago and Higgins and I drove from Chicago to Kalamazoo.
