That is all true about Pittsburgh. Thank you for taking the words out of my

mouth. It's nice to be back. I missed you. There was a lot of work while you were gone, but we got

through it. Yeah, I heard all the quote-unquote work you were doing.

Her husband has been work going on. We have a great new fully loaded show coming up this Friday,

featuring guests like Willem Defoe, DePhech Mode, and lots more.

But today we wanted to lay this special podcast on you.

A little background last week when Rico was away.

I was working diligently.

And we excerpted a new segment all about stand-up comedians.

That's right.

And if you heard that, you know Brendan and his guest host, Tobin Lowe promised that we would share the longer conversation with you in podcast form. And here it is. We keep our promises. We are calling

this segment double take. And essentially what you're going to hear is comedians talking about

their craft. And then they'll talk us through the evolution of a single joke from its first

and usually pretty

awful telling to the present day. And our guest today, or maybe victim, is a better word, is

New York comic Joel Kim Booster. Yes, Joel has a half hour special premiering October 20th on

Comedy Central, and his debut album comes out November 3rd. He sat down to chat with our producer James Kim,

and he brought two recordings with him.
