Actress Dara's day may have saved her son from being one of Charles Manson's victims.

At least that's what Mike love of the Beach Boys fame things.

In his new book Good Vibrations, soon to be released, he says days sun,

late record producer Terry Melcher met Manson through fellow Beach Boy Dennis Wilson.

Love says Manson wanted to become a rock star in his own right.

And Melcher was willing to hear him out. But in the end,

Melcher didn't think Manson had a future in the business.

News Manson did not take well.

Love writes in the book about Melcher's relationship with his famous mother.

He had told her about Manson. And about some of his scary antics,

his brandishing of knives, his zombie followers.

And that Manson had been to the house on Cielo and she insisted he move out.

Seven months later in August of 1969, at the same address where Melcher was living,

Manson and his followers killed pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four other people.

Melcher lived until 2004 when skin cancer took his life at age 62.

But he might not have lived that long if it wasn't for what love calls a mother's intuition.
