After over two years of filming London Real with over 150 episodes under our belt here in the studios.

I always get asked one question over and over again

when I meet people on the streets or in the tube

or people that come over here for the first time

and they always ask, what's your most popular episode and

it's a simple question to answer since I always have the numbers in the back of my

head and I always blurt out Dorian Yates and sometimes I hear awesome and sometimes I hear who and I try to explain

He was a six-time Mr. Olympia, one of the greatest bodybuilders in the world, and how he came on the show and spoke with such presence, such heart, such intelligence, that it really blew people's minds.

And on top of that, this is a man who is probably the most media shy in all of history.

And one thing the Dorian told us when he came over here

almost one year ago is he said he had had offers before

from the BBC to come and speak with them,

but they always insisted that afterwards he put on his

swim shorts and pose for them and that was always insulting to Dorian. I think he was upset that they wouldn't want to speak to him

for himself just like any other normal person being interviewed and even

though posing was his business, he objected to that type of treatment, you know, by the media.

And so hence his name, The Shadow, he's someone that was always very elusive in the bodybuilding world. People didn't know who he was, where he was, how he was training. You know, you had Arnold and the boys pumping iron on Venice Beach and living large and

getting tans and you had Dorian up in Birmingham pumping iron you know for 12 months

a year would show up a competitions blow everyone, and then go home.

And he was also typically, you know, not in the media, not doing interviews.

And so when we had the opportunity to host him on London Reel, I didn't realize it at the time but it was a big event

and it was a big decision on his part to come and speak to us and we were blown away and quite honestly blown away by the reception.
