So today I'm gonna cover a story that has been in the news a lot lately

and that is the story of Lori and Chad Debel.

I'm gonna give you all the information you probably don't know.

I kind of have a loose idea of this case,

but there's a lot that I had no idea about.

So hopefully we can get this all in

before the trial starts in January of 2023.

Well, we will get it all in.

The book I used was Doomsday Mother by John Glad.

So let's get started.

I'm gonna start with some background on Lori and Chad.

Lori Cox was born June 26, 1973 in Rialta, California,

which is in the Inland Empire by San Bernardino.

She was the fifth child of Barry and Janice Cox

and Barry had a successful career in the insurance industry.

So they were an affluent Mormon family living in the Inland Empire.

An anonymous childhood friend in this book describes Lori

as being popular and spoiled.

In her opinion, although the Cox's attended Mormon temple,

they were a little flashier than the other Mormons she knew.

They didn't seem particularly devout either in her opinion.
