Actually yesterday, I was on the Film House podcast and we talked about the sequel to the movie we're about to talk to today.

We talked about S Darko, which was a lot of fun, so I highly recommend after you listen to this, you check out Adam's

Yeah, but today we were talking about the 2001 film written and directed by Richard Kelly,

Donnie Darko, starring Jake Gillen Hall and Jenna Malone. and felt about it back then and what it's like revisiting it. Let's start with Ryan.

Well first time was back in high school or whenever it came out and it was really

one of the I saw it the perfect time my life because it was a total like it's a total film geek film buff movie I feel like especially when you see you know for teenagers and people in college because it like it feels like it's saying a lot and it

is saying a lot, you know, but it also has a lot of really cool soundtrack and

really awesome performances by Jay Jelinehall who wasn't really who was kind of discovered from this movie

So yeah, I mean first time I saw it like I was blown away and I was still blown away. I'm still it's still an amazing movie to

revisit I feel like for lots of different reasons is a super cinematic just many

layers to appeal back on this movie. So I loved it.

So you loved this movie and still love it.
