the Republican presidential field and what's going on in Iowa.

I just got back from a few days in Iowa, the first really big event of the 2024 presidential

campaign took place there recently, the Senator Joni Ernst, what's called the Roast

and Ride.

And so I wanted to talk a little bit about what is going on in Iowa and I think what

I think the sort of main themes of events out there are.

So starting with a kind of big picture, go back to 2015, Donald Trump really changed

the scale of Republican primary politics.

So in Iowa, which is the first state to vote, Trump started drawing crowds that were not

just bigger than anybody had ever seen.
