So if someone says,

I saw Tullsy Gabbard,

if someone that walks up to him at Marlago,

who's a member or a friend,

well I saw Tullsy G gathered on on the view she really let him have it.

Well really what do you think? I think I think she's strong. Well she might be my vice president. I think that'd be a great choice or think that'd be a horrible

choice. What someone says to him, those sorts of things matter to him. By putting you on notice, he was telling you to keep an eye on these people and now they are in audition mode. Look at them hard before he makes a choice. It's a trial balloon, as I said earlier.

George H.W. Bush used Dan Quell in this way.

When Bush was president and they had an idea

that they weren't sure about, it might be stupid they'd have Dan Quell hold a press conference

and Dan Quell would hold a press conference and if it was a dumb idea, people would say,

another dumb idea by Dan Quell.

And then the media would pile on it.

And Quell was just a punching bag.
