Welcome, I'm Kyle Peterson with the Wall Street Journal. We are joined today by my colleagues,

columnists Kim Strassel, and Bill McGurn. The latest Trump nominee to draw attention came in a

truth social post on Saturday night, naming Cash Patel as Trump's choice to lead the Federal Bureau

of Investigation. Here's part of what Trump said. Cash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator,

an America first fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending justice, and protecting the American people.

He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia-Russia-Russia hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution.

He noted that Mr. Patel served in his first administration, including

chief of staff at the Department of Defense. But to my eye, one of the key lines here is

America First Fighter. And to that point, let's listen to Cash Patel speaking at the CPAT

conservative conference this February. When we wake up in November, it is not going to be just hope that pushes us across the finish line.

We are going to look back together and say, we help destroy the two-tier system of justice that is targeting Americans illegally.
