Summary

Leader of the Reform Party Richard Tice kicks off today's show by delving into the morning's top headlines as Sadiq Khan attempted to appease critics of London’s expanded clean-air zone yesterday by announcing an increase in compensation for people forced by the scheme to scrap their cars. Conservative MP Sir John Redwood joins shortly after to discuss The Bank of England raising interest rates for the 14th consecutive time yesterday, upping its base rate by a quarter of a percentage point to 5.25 per cent. Leader of Bromley Council Councillor Colin Smith returns to The Independent Republic to discuss the ongoing ULEZ rebellion as TalkTV has obtained footage of masked anti-ULEZ activists pulling down the scheme's cameras in Bromley, London. Calling themselves the Blade Runners, after the 1982 film starring Harrison Ford, the group has vowed to continue their direct action campaign until every camera has been removed.  Former Head of Royal Protection Dai Davies joins Mike to discuss the five people have been arrested after activists climbed on the roof of the prime minister's home to protest at 100 new North Sea oil and gas licences, two men and two women were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and public nuisance after they returned to ground level at about 1pm, and former Aide to Donald Trump Sebastian Gorka closes the show to discusses Donald Trump pleading not guilty in court on Thursday after being arrested and arraigned for conspiring to overturn the 2020 presidential election, the latest in his third – and potentially most serious – criminal case. All that and so much more, so tune in!
