Today I want to take a look at a few stories that have to do with the leadership and accountability of our outgoing and our incoming presidents.

On the one hand, we have Donald, who's promised to part in at least some of the January 6th insurrectionists have sparked what we'll call mixed reactions.

On the other hand, we have President Biden, who has been making headlines with some clemency decisions,

some of which that are facing backlash, but for very different reasons.

Let's take a look at this clip from the Washington Post to put January 6th in some

context. A spokeswoman for Trump's transition team said in a statement to the Wall Street

Journal that Trump will pardon Americans who were denied due process and unfairly prosecuted

by the weaponized Department of Justice. I know the system. The system's a very corrupt system.

She also said in a separate statement that pardons will happen on a case-by-case basis,

but didn't give any details on who might receive them or when.

A number of people accused in the attack are already lobbying the president-elect for pardons.

Like so many of the crimes Donald has committed against the United States of America,

we saw the January 6 insurrectionists committing their crimes on camera.

So this has nothing to do with the corrupt system.

This has to do with Donald's willingness to take advantage of a system that is weak.

So part of this is, of course, just to infuriate his opponents and to pardon people who committed crimes for which he has escaped accountability.
