and he's reversing his stance on Fed Chair Jerome Powell and tariffs.

After his attacks on the independent chairman of the Federal Reserve spooked markets,

this morning President Trump now says he has no intention

of firing Jerome Powell, the Fed Chair he appointed.

No, I have no intention of firing him. I would like to see him be a little more active in terms

of his idea to lower interest rates. A change in tune after the president blasted Powell calling him a major

loser and saying Powell's termination cannot come fast enough. But most legal experts agree the

president doesn't have the authority to fire Powell who has one year left in his term. Trump's

attacks sending markets into a nosedive. Wall Street is heading to its worst April since the Great Depression.

I have no intention of firing the man I just spent days threatening to fire. Uh-huh.

So why did Donald back? Because it honestly, it's not his, it's not really his modus aperondi. He usually doubles down on his idiocy. Well, this time around,

though, there were real real consequences for everybody, including people who are usually as

allies. And even they were calling him out on the carpet for just being a complete,

blundering, blithering idiot. Again, even his loyalists were turning
