START TODAY: The worst advice given to young people is that they have plenty of time to figure it out. We’ve often been told to “just be a kid” or to “have patience”. But the compounding effect of decisions we make today is what separates the outliers 20 years down the road. If you want a life of mediocrity, you can sit back and have fun. But if you want to leave a legacy or make an impact in the world, today is critically important for shaping the person you can become in order to separate yourself.
