As we celebrate another 4th of July packed with mouth-watering BBQ, refreshing pools, and awe-inspiring fireworks, I can’t help but think back to one of my most memorable experiences from this day- and to share why it matters to you.

While silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone, shared gratitude sets others on fire for life.

Well, hello, my friends, and welcome to the Live Inspired podcast Monday and Morning Moments with John O'Leary.

I record these so that you and I can begin our days, our Fourth of Julys, and our weeks in awe and on fire with a

used to anyone. As we celebrate yet another Fourth of July packed with mouthwatering barbecue,

refreshing pools, and awe-inspiring fireworks. I can't help but think back on one of the most memorable experiences from this day

and to share why it should matter to you going forward. Here we go. Shortly after college,

I bought my very first home. A couple of my buddies from college lived with me and they paid me rent.

We had a backyard.

We had a wooden deck.

We had a hot tub, barbecue pit.

Basically everything a 20-something-year-old guy might need.

And then my brother Jim called shortly after we moved in.

He wondered if he could live with us for just a couple of weeks while transitioning from a house he was renting with some of his friends into one he planned on purchasing for himself.

He was a successful attorney, my only brother, and I was happy to have him move in with me for a while.

On July 4th weekend, 1999 with temperatures and triple digits and humidity so high, it made breeding a chore, I helped Jim move.

Now, I worked mowing lawns as a kid.

I've worked bailing hay as a farmhand in high school.

And I've worked remodeling distress properties after college.

But I'd never worked as hard and for as little as I did the day I moved Jim into my house.

We carried his freeweight sets, a ski machine, and a treadmill.

We carried a giant wooden bar, wasn't sure where we're going to put it, a massive pool

table, a huge dresser, a beat-up bed, a love seat, couches, ottomans, in tables, and bags,
