We don't know a lot about Seneca's friend, Lucilius.

From Seneca's letters though, we get the sense that he, like many of us, was often overwhelmed by his responsibilities.

He was a Roman knight. He was the governor of Sicily. He owned a large country villa.

We can assume that he had friends and family vying for his time soon.

One of the best pieces of advice from Seneca was about how to manage it all.
